Fenix Hotel

I marked down due to the unfriendly and rude service I received from one of the male waiters in the breakfast room. He rudely and abruptly asked me why I had 3 sets of cutlery in my table. I informed him they were there when I came. What kind of speaking to customers is that. If you don't like your job. Do something else. The hotel is in the 'classic' style which I find to be very elegant. Just outside is a bus stop that the X96 bus will take you straight to the airport. It takes about 45 mins. The beach is two blocks away. From experience they don't charge for using the minibar. I been here twice in 1 month. The room is clean but the air conditioning is too loud and not effective in the summer heat of August. The cleaner knocked on my door at 10am! 1 hour before check out time even I placed the 'not to disturb' card outside! Checkin and out was quick and easy. He just asked for my name and signature on the card. It could be a nice hotel if the people are more friendly.

The hotel has a very good price quality ratio. There is a bus stop nearby for the airport express bus. The staff is helpful. The breakfast is convenient. The air conditioning works well but too noisy for the night, yet, it can be turned off. The bathroom is decent but rather small.

*This review is only for the restaurant* We dinned there after a wedding ceremony. The prepared menu was neatly cooked and all the varieties of meat tasted great. For a restaurant of a 4-star hotel though, it wasn't something spectacular. The waiting staff were fast and polite, despite the 70 people that they had to serve. If you want to stay here, you will possibly enjoy the restaurant too.
